PROOF will be embarking on a new adventure and stage in its life, so I figured this called for a blog redesign as well! Hope you like it!
This small group has been around for 2 years and in that time we have studied many things (see "About Us"), grown spiritually, and become unbelievably close to each other as brothers and sisters in Christ. But in that time, we've also grown in numbers... with 20 members, we're no longer considered a "small" group. So, though most of us didn't want to admit, a big change has been approaching for a while.
We seem to have mastered what it takes to form a close knit community of believers. Through the structure of our group (alternating weeks of accountability and Bible study) and God's workmanship, we have come to understand what it means to "do life" with other believers. And speaking for myself, I don't know what I'd do without this kind of community in my life.
But at 20 members, the intimacy required for a successful community was being stretched. After much prayerful consideration, one couple from our group has decided to launch a new group with the same "PROOF" structure in mind - a PROOF offspring, if you will. Many PROOF members have chosen (due to scheduling and/or God's nudging) to join this new group, Koinonia.
Those of us continuing on the PROOF journey have decided to move our group to Wednesday nights. We are also beginning a new study, Desiring God, by John Piper. Since we are starting out at only 8 members, we encourage any Terranovans that may be interested in joining our group to come check it out!
We are excited to watch and see what God does through the new adventures of both PROOF and Koinonia :)
